Our Topiary Trees are artistically styled through a variety of cultural treatments created by shearing, pruning and in some cases wiring branches to hold them in place for a period of time. These Artistic Trees are great additions to Rock Gardens, Japanese Gardens or focal points in the landscape, creating a unique beautiful look of design or the look of age weathering the test of time as the example of trees in the mountains or Minnesota North Shore growing out of rocks. These Artistic Topiary Trees are large versions of Bonsai trees and can be used as a dramatic focal point for your landscape.
We've separated our Topiary Tree pictures into three size categories:
•3' to 8' Topiary Trees - Our Smallest trees are mostly comprised of Pom Pom styled topiaries.
•8' to 12' Topiary Trees - Our Medium trees are a mixture of Hindu Pan styled and our personally developed Artistic style Topiary Trees.
•12' to 15' Topiary Trees - Our Largest Topiary Trees are also a mix of Hindu Pan and Artistic styles.
Pom Pom
This style is usually used on smaller trees. What defines this tree is the round balls of foliage on the end of its branchs. Making them look a lot like fluffy pom poms.
Hindu Pan
This style is an Asian inspired garden tree with asymmetrically balanced “clouds” of foliage and exposed branch structure.
Artistic
This is our own personally developed style and it is a mixture of the Pom Pom and Hindu Pan. Often these are larger trees and many of them have multiple trunks or tops.
